Celebrity Race Across The World is back for a second series. The much-loved and popular BBC One series launched its star-studded spin-off last year and saw weather presenter Alex Beresford and his dad Noel crowned champions. Now the series, which sees teams race to a finish line that's thousands of miles away without the use of air travel or any trappings of modern-day life, is back for a second instalment.

The famous faces embarking on the new epic 12,500 km race are presenter Jeff Brazier and his son, Freddy; actor Kola Bokinni and his cousin, Mary Ellen; broadcaster Kelly Brook and her husband, Jeremy and Radio 2 host Scott Mills and his husband (then fiancé), Sam. The pairs must get from the Amazon Rainforest to the Andes with a limited budget and only a map to rely on. Here's everything you need to know.

Celebrity Race Across the World start date The 2024 series will start on Wednesday, August 14. Viewers can tune into BBC One or BBC iPlayer at 9pm to watch the new series. The first series will see the celebrities start their journey in Belém, Northern Brazil.

Over the course of the series they will pass through five checkpoints across the length of South America, to reach the finish line in the Andes, Frutillar in Southern Chile.
