HARRISBURG — The 109th Pennsylvania Farm Show could be summed up by the three E’s – exhibits, eats and entertainment. Exhibits are all over the 24-acre complex. So are eats, although most people flock to the Food Court in the Giant Expo Hall.

Entertainment is throughout the day and each evening, too. The eight-day extravaganza, Pennsylvania’s version of a state fair, will be held in the state Farm Show Complex at Cameron and Maclay streets from 8 a.m.

Saturday through 5 p.m. Jan.

11. Admission is free, but parking is $15 a vehicle in the Farm Show lots off Elmerton Avenue and at HACC. Free shuttle service and handicapped parking are available.

“Whether you’re a seasoned competitor vying for a blue ribbon, an annual visitor or a first-timer, we’re glad you’ve joined us to celebrate the power of Pennsylvania agriculture and the people who make it happen,” said Gov. Josh Shapiro and state Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding in a joint statement. The Farm Show unites men, women and children, city and rural residents, babies and senior citizens and people from all walks of life.

Although most of the half million visitors are Pennsylvanians, many out-of-state and international visitors annually attend the nation’s largest indoor agricultural event as well. This year’s Farm Show offers educational presentations on stages, a celebration of women powering agriculture, an electric live line demonstration and eight days of cooking lessons at the PA Preferred Culi.
