Restaurants from two Hyatt properties have teamed up to unveil a menu of authentic Malaysian dishes that celebrate the nation’s rich culinary tapestry. The collaboration, which ends on Sept 30, is between Kuang’s of Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur Bukit Jalil and JPteres at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur. JPteres’ signature chicken rice, a perennial favourite since 2012, will be available for a limited time at Kuang’s.

This dish is a prepared through a 15-hour process. Each mouthful has the rich, aromatic essence of Bentong ginger and rendered chicken fat. Another highlight is Aunty Anne’s Mutton Varuval, a treasured family recipe from the mother of Bennett Peter, Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur Bukit Jalil’s general manager.

This dish captures the essence of tradition, delivering a taste that’s both familiar and comforting. Other dishes on the menu include Special Beef Rendang and a flavourful Vegetarian Plant-Based Meat Curry. Each dish on this limited-time menu is a celebration of Malaysia’s culinary diversity, thoughtfully crafted to bring together the best of tradition and contemporary flair.

“This collaboration between Kuang’s and JPteres is a significant moment for our hotel as we bring the rich and diverse flavours of Malaysian cuisine to guests,” said Peter. “The inclusion of the JPteres’ signature chicken rice is a highlight for us. “It’s a true representation of our commitment to quality and tradition.
