• The Cayuga County Office for the Aging 's Meals on Wheels program has an urgent need for drivers in the southern part of the county. The program strives to keep older adults who struggle to care for themselves in their homes for as long as possible. "Household chores and self-care aren’t as easy as they once were, and oftentimes, the home delivery of a hot meal, accompanied by a caring smile and friendly check-in, are what make the difference for one to stay in their home," the office said in a news release.

• The Old Erie Canal Heritage Park in Port Byron is looking for volunteers to help tell the story of the enlarged Erie Canal, in Cayuga County and beyond, and the Erie House. Shifts are 9 a.m.
