Catherine, Princess of Wales has officially returned to work after completing chemotherapy. The royal, who announced in March she was undergoing preventive chemotherapy following the discovery of an undisclosed type of cancer during major abdominal surgery in January, hosted her first meeting since the diagnosis. The Court Circular — a public record of the royal family’s engagements — said it was her first work since starting cancer treatment. “The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this afternoon held an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle,” it said. Catherine has previously shared her passion for raising awareness of early childhood development, calling it her “life’s work” in 2023.

While this is the royal’s first public meeting since completing treatment, Catherine also appeared at Trooping of the Colour in June and the Wimbledon Championships in July. The palace has previously stated she has been working from home during her treatment. Last week, the 42-year-old shared the news — with “relief” — that her treatment was complete after an “incredibly tough” nine months.
