Catherine A. Frabotta OBITUARY Catherine A. Frabotta, 91 of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 12th at The Palmerton, Senior Living Community, Palmerton, PA.
Born on August 25, 1933, in South Side Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Blanche (Kemmerer) Rieger. Catherine was employed at Debbie Sue Fashions in Bethlehem for many years. She was raised in the Roman Catholic faith and was a member of the former Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Bethlehem.
Catherine was also a member of the ILGWU, served as Secretary of the Hampton House Tenants Association and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and always available to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. Catherine was an avid piano player and her children recall being gathered around her piano to sing many Christmas carols.
Survivors: Catherine is survived by her daughters, Donna Merin, Catherine Smith and husband Richard, Roseanne Scanlan and husband Mark, Mary Frances Frabotta and husband Peter; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and “Aunt Kay” to many nieces and nephews. A son-in-law, Steven and brothers, James and Thomas preceded Catherine in death. Services: Family and friends are invited to attend a calling hour on Friday, December 20th from 10:00 a.
m. until 11:00 a.m.
in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton.
