During recent episodes of the medical series, Cam has had to confront his past when his former mentor Jamie joined the hospital at Holby.
He also reconnected with old friend Bobby, who accused Jamie of sexually abusing him as a child and Cam eventually admitted to Siobhan McKenzie (Melanie Hill) that he too suffered abuse. In the latest episode, Iain Dean (Michael Stevenson) and the emergency team tackled a car crash incident where a vehicle had plunged down a steep gorge days earlier. Rich Walker (Michael Keogh) reported no signs of life from the driver, later identified as Jamie, but Iain managed to find a pulse.
Upon learning that Jamie was being rushed into the ED, Siobhan informed Cam, advising him to maintain his distance. However, Cam insisted on helping and stepped in when Jodie Whyte (Anna Chell) had to depart the emergency room.
