Ring is bringing the “Voice of the Nation” search to the country in an effort to find a new voice that will be available on Ring Doorbells across the UK later this year. It comes after research from company found that the Scottish accent is one of the most endearing in the UK -with just under half of respondents (44%) agreeing that it is the friendliest in the whole of Britain. Any Scots hoping to become the doorbell voice of the nation can do so by recording themselves reciting this popular Ring doorbell reply: “We can’t answer the door right now, but if you’d like to leave a message, you can do it now.

” They should then share this on TikTok with the hashtag #RingVoiceoftheNation, on Instagram, or through their Ring device. In-person auditions will be held in major cities like Glasgow, Aberdeen and Edinburgh throughout August and September. The auditions will then be judged by a panel featuring DJ and television presenter Edith Bowman.

Auditions will be held at St James Quarter in Edinburgh on Saturday, August 31, and Sunday, September 1, in Union Square in Aberdeen on Saturday, September 7 and Sunday, September 8, and at Silverburn Shopping Centre in Glasgow on Saturday, September 14 and Sunday, September 15.
