Carol Ann Jones, 78, of Venice, FL and Ocean City, NJ (formerly Ridley Park) passed away peacefully on August 5, 2024 at Rose Tree Place in Media, PA, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Virginia C. Gullifer (nee Flood) and Robert W.
Gavin. Carol was a 1963 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Moylan, Pennsylvania. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Ridley Park, and worked as a legal secretary for over 30 years.
Many of those years were spent working at Curran, Winning & Fioravanti Law Firm in Media, PA, where she developed lasting friendships. On November 3, 1967, Carol married the love of her life, the late Paul E. Jones.
They resided in Ridley Park for 38 years, where they raised their family. After retirement, Carol and Paul spent their summers in Ocean City, NJ and their winters in Venice, FL, where they enjoyed playing tennis, spending time with lifelong friends, and admiring the beautiful sunsets. Carol also enjoyed gardening, dancing, shopping and spending summers with her family on the beach in Ocean City.
Carol was a loving wife, a cherished mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, who was extremely devoted to her family and friends, and will be deeply missed. Carol is survived by her daughters, Wendy Ann Jones and Adrienne Rouse (Bill); sisters Catherine Cole, Frances Broadbent (James), Susan McGurk (the late James); grandchildren, Billy Rouse and Emily Rouse; also loving family members and many close frien.
