Wednesday, October 2, 2024 Carnival Cruise Line is excited to celebrate a remarkable milestone at its popular homeport in New Orleans, becoming the first cruise operator to embark more than seven million guests from the port. This achievement highlights the company’s long-standing success since it began offering year-round cruises from New Orleans in 1994. The milestone was made official on Monday when the Litteral family boarded the Carnival Valor.

Thomas and Julie Litteral, along with their children, Zachary and Zoey, are frequent Carnival cruisers from Georgia. The family was already preparing to commemorate a special moment during their current voyage, as 12-year-old Zachary was set to achieve Diamond VIFP (Very Important Fun Person) status. This accomplishment allows him to join his parents at the top tier of Carnival’s loyalty program.
