CARLOS YULO – Popular car-maker Toyota rewarded the Paris Olympics double gold medalist with a Land Cruiser Prado. The double win of Caloy in the 2024 Paris Olympics is the first time of the Philippines to achieve such huge success in the biggest sports events in the world. The country finished the event as the best-performing Southeast Asian nation landing on the 37th spot over-all.
In this year’s Olympics, the Philippines got four (4) Olympic medals — it’s best performance so far. Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo won gold in men’s floor exercise and men’s vault events. His victories happened only a few hours apart and it left countless Filipinos rejoicing in pride and honor.
Aside from Carlos, Filipina boxers Neshty Petecio and Aira Villegas also won bronze medals for the Philippines in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Recently, a warm welcome was prepared for the Filipino athletes in their homecoming from a very successful Olympic event. The office of President Bongbong Marcos gave the Filipino athletes Php 1 million each as reward for their hardwork and dedication that bring pride and honor to the Philippines.
The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) also vowed to give Php 1 million each to the Pinoy athletes. On the part of Paris Olympics double gold medalist Carlos Yulo, the office of the President gave him Php 20 million as a reward for the big honor he gave the country. The House of Representatives also gave him Php 14 million following his double wins.
