Sunday, March 16, 2025 At ITB Berlin, one of the largest global travel trade shows, Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) Secretary-General Dona Regis-Prosper called for urgent and actionable measures to address climate change, advocate for financial support, and foster collaboration to safeguard tourism-dependent regions. Regis-Prosper addressed the pressing issue during a prominent panel discussion titled “From Promise to Progress: Steering Tourism in Challenging Times,” which featured leaders from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, the European Commission, and NECSTouR. The 2025 edition of ITB Berlin, which welcomed over 100,000 attendees, 87% of whom were international visitors, underscored the crucial role tourism plays in shaping sustainable futures.
