A CAPITAL FM star has revealed they have quit the radio station after six years. The presenter revealed she was looking for her " next adventure" after deciding to bow out after a lengthy career. Rio Fredrika has worked on the station and its spin-off, Capital Dance, and has worked across a variety of shows.

As well as most recently having hosted the morning programme on the main network, she launched the breakfast show on its dance music spin-off to a roaring success. Rio shared a slew of her best clips from her time at the station as she opened up on deciding to walk away. Writing on Instagram, Rio said: "So the news is out! I’m leaving Capital.

"What a BEAUTIFUL 6 years it’s been. So many of my dreams came true here at Capital. I’ve gotten to connect with so many of you through the airwaves, I’ve hosted Capital’s Jingle Bell and Summertime Balls (I was on stage in front of 80,000 people at Wembley and I’ve launched a breakfast show on a brand new station Capital Dance- the list goes on! "I’ve loved every second! I’ve decided to step away because I’ve always wanted life to be about experiencing as much as possible so I’m going to take some time out to work on my next adventure.
