The crash happened on the M6 northbound near Tebay Services in Cumbria. Police were called to the crash at 4.
04pm. Two vehicles were involved – a Skoda and a Toyota. The driver of the Skoda, a man from Cambridgeshire , was pronounced dead at the scene.
