We know economy passengers can be feeling a little cramped during long-haul flights but one person has really put their foot in it. Eloise, a Brisbane high school student, says she was shocked after an unexpected encounter with a rogue foot inside her seating space. Around two hours into the Emirates flight from Dubai to London , a female passenger seated behind Eloise decided to turn her armrest into a footstool.

"I just found it weird. It wouldn't even be that comfortable," she said. The foot returned another two times before Eloise had enough and took matters into her own hands with a clever way to maintain the sanctity of her own space.

"I just threw the armrest up. She still had a foot on it when I put it up, I just flicked it up," she said. According to Quentin Long from Australian Traveller magazine, such behaviour is thankfully rare on flights, but some people do be.
