The company was founded in 2012 by Australian entrepreneurs Tim Fung and Jonathan Lui and now helps connect people and tasks in Australia, the U.K., Ireland, Singapore, the United States, and New Zealand.

Airtasker has shared four extraordinary pet-sitting jobs currently available on the platform: Natalie from West Kensington, London, is looking for a dedicated dog sitter to care for her dog Lord Beef while she takes a family vacation. Paying $900 for the week, along with free accommodation in her luxury apartment, the sitter's responsibilities will include feeding Lord Beef freshly cooked evening meals and ensuring he gets plenty of love and exercise.
