A wild body cam footage shows a California woman allegedly trying to shoplift $850 worth of products from beauty and clothing shops was caught red-handed hiding in a trunk of her Tesla in a failed attempt to hide from police. Emely Yanagida, a 35-year-old woman from San Marcos, was arrested for possessing burglary tools, resisting arrest, and shoplifting at the Irvine Spectrum shopping center, the Irvine Police Department said . The incident unfolded last Wednesday afternoon, when Yanagida allegedly stole $600 worth of make-up products and $250 in workout clothing from retailers like Sephora and Lululemon.
