Noida: Lord Krishna will be greeted at Iskcon temple with cakes, pasta, noodles, pizzas, burgers and muffins among 108 dishes to mark Janmashtami on Monday. Devotees will be allowed inside the temple from 4.30am till midnight.

Over 5 lakh visitors, including from countries like America, France, Germany and Malaysia, are likely to participate in the celebrations . Among other preparations for the celebration are decoration using flowers and lights and allocated parking space for devotees near Adobe Chowk. Parking arrangements for special invitees have been made near Noida Haat.

A team of Noida police, along with volunteers, will be deployed at the temple to ensure a smooth functioning of the event. CCTV surveillance will be done, and fire safety measures have been put in place for the safety of devotees. Traffic diversions have been made around the temple to manage the crowd.

According to Noida traffic police, restrictions will be imposed on vehicles on Maharaja Agrasen Marg and alternative route plans were in place. “Maharaja Agrasen Marg will see traffic restrictions on both sides, stretching from the NTPC underpass to Gijhore Chowk. Commuters travelling from Gijhore to Sector 18 and Atta Market are advised to take a detour via Hoshiarpur village and proceed to the City Centre to avoid the restricted area,” said DCP (Traffic) Yamuna Prasad, adding that while the Noida Elevated Road will remain open, the loops near the temple will be closed for safety.
