Mumbai: The state cabinet on Sunday cleared projects in constituencies of ruling party politicians. Mahapreet company, which is implementing a cluster scheme in Thane which is CM Ekanth Shinde's stronghold, has been allowed to raise funds worth Rs 50,000 crore in the form of equity and debt securities. The cabinet also decided to continue the exemption granted to the Sarjam lands of Shrimant Udayan Maharaj Pratapsingh Bhosale to his heirs by descent.

Udayanraje Bhosale is a BJP MP. It also decided to grant the status of a group university to Warna University at Warnanagar in Kolhapur which is linked to Vinay Kore of Jan Surajya Party, which supports the Mahayuti govt. The group university will include Tatyasaheb Kore Institute of Engineering and Technology, Yashwantrao Chavan Warna College, and Tatyasaheb Kore College of Pharmacy.

The cabinet also approved the Nar-Par-Girna River Link Project, which will benefit the irrigation of Nashik and Jalgaon districts. The project cost is an estimated Rs 7,015 crore. It also cleared the Fursungi tunnel project of the Mutha Ujwa canal of the Khadakwasla project.

Due to this tunnel, more water will be available for irrigation and drinking in Pune. The cabinet approved Rs 2,190 crore for this project..
