Bus network operator gives staff ‘living wage’

Go North West, one of the major Bee Network franchise operators, has been accreditation by the Real Living Wage Foundation, which it says reinforces its commitment to ensure all colleagues are paid fairly for the work they do. This means the company guarantees to offer, as a minimum, the only UK wage rate which is based on the actual cost of living. Entirely voluntary, it offers a higher, more realistic rate than the UK Government’s National Living Wage .

With key sites in Bolton and Wigan, the company’s 1000 colleagues operate some of the biggest Bee Network franchises on behalf of Transport for Greater Manchester, and this certification is further evidence of its dedication in supporting and valuing its greatest asset, its employees.
