TWIN LAKES — A Burlington business and West Coast entrepreneur are helping an area volunteer fire department via a fundraising program launched in September. Markquart RV — in partnership with Bend, Oregon-based Purpose in Expenses and its CEO Jamie Bianchini — recently presented Twin Lakes Fire Department Chief Ron Redlin with $2,000 to kick off the initiative. The funds are from the partnership’s “Purpose-Powered Payments,” whereby each credit card transaction made at the Burlington dealership automatically generates a donation for the fire department.

Purpose in Expenses and Markquart each also donated matching funds to the fire department. Additionally, under the fundraising program in 2025-26, the RV business will receive an allotment of donations to give to a nonprofit of their choice each year. Joe Henchel, a partner with Markquart, which has several dealerships throughout the state and is headquartered in Eau Claire, said the program offers a stream of “recurring donations to local charities” that benefits the community directly.

“That was the big upshot for us,” he said. For Burlington dealership manager Eric Dennis, Twin Lakes Fire Department was an easy choice because many of his employees are from the area. A Twin Lakes resident, Dennis also grew up in a public safety environment.
