Prayagraj: Dr Rajendra Prasad National Law University , Prayagraj, organised a two-day conquerors intra moot court competition on Aug 21-22. The competition aimed to provide an opportunity for budding lawyers to compete and hone their skills in arguing matters in the competition. The moot proposition was based on the law of contract.

It revolved around the basic concept of promissory estoppel, principles of limitation law, and the maintainability of a civil dispute. It particularly delved into the scope of a contract and its formation under the principles of the law of contract. On Aug 21, the teams participated in two intellectually demanding and gruelling preliminary rounds which were adjudged by practising advocates of Allahabad High Court- advocate Anoop Baranwal, advocate Shashank Bhatt, advocate Aarushi Khare, etc.

The preliminary rounds were followed by the semi-final rounds, which included the top four teams. The semi-final rounds were conducted on Thursday and were adjudged by division judge benches, each consisting of senior advocates and practising lawyers. The judges for the semi-finals were senior advocate Praveen Kumar Giri (additional advocate general), advocate Pankaj Tripathi, advocate Vijay Kumar Ojha, and advocate Parijat Mishra.

The final round was adjudged by a two-judge bench consisting of the vice-chancellor of the law university Usha Tandon and senior advocate Radhakant Ojha. The team comprising Srijal Mishra, Suryansh Mishra, and Saumya Sachan success.
