Brooks Koepka has thrown his weight behind Tiger Woods' call for a dress code shake-up on the PGA Tour. Five-time major winner Koepka left the tour for LIV Golf in 2022. The breakaway league has introduced shotgun starts, three-round tournaments, and no-cut events in an attempt to freshen up competitions and to make themselves distinct from the PGA .

Those efforts extend to on-course attire as well, with LIV veering away from the strict trouser policy that is enforced by the PGA. LIV Golf permits all players to wear shorts.
