Starting Monday, British Airways will offer three weekly flights from London Heathrow to Riga International Airport throughout the winter season, giving travelers more opportunities to explore one of Europe’s most charming holiday destinations. Riga’s Christmas markets, particularly the main market at Doma Laukums in the Old Town, attract thousands each year with their traditional stalls and festive atmosphere.

Known for its handcrafted gifts, including Baltic amber jewelry, cozy woolen scarves, and ornate ornaments, the market offers an authentic holiday shopping experience. Visitors can also enjoy warm treats like mulled wine and gingerbread, set against a backdrop of medieval architecture and festive lights. A smaller market at Esplanāde Park adds to the charm, offering a carousel, petting zoo, and family-friendly activities.
