Bristol Airport has been named as one of the priciest in the UK for drop-off charges, according to a new study by the RAC. The airport is also among those that have ramped up their "kiss and fly" fees over the past year, the research indicates. Out of 20 airports reviewed, seven have raised their drop-off parking rates since the previous summer, with Bristol included in this list.

Currently, the airport is demanding a hefty £6 for a mere 10 minutes of drop-off time, which reflects an increase of £1 from 2023. In addition to Bristol, three other airports have bumped up their charges by £1London Gatwick now at £6 for 10 minutes, Edinburgh at £5 for the same duration, and Birmingham setting you back £5 for 15 minutes. Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, and Aberdeen have all seen a rise of 50p compared to last year's prices, as reported by the RAC.

Cardiff Airport, meanwhile, is still free to drop off passengers as is London City and Inverness. London Stansted – despite not increasing its charges this year – remains the most expensive UK airport for dropping off, charging £7 for up to 15 minutes, the equivalent of 47p a minute. On a cost-per-minute basis, however, it is Manchester that offers drivers the worst value, charging £5 for just a five-minute stay.
