Wednesday, October 2, 2024 Bristol Airport is calling for expressions of interest from potential partners to join a tender process for the operation of a convenience store within its new landside Public Transport Interchange. This exciting development is part of a significant expansion plan for the airport, which is currently undergoing its largest-ever capital project, valued at over £60 million. The new Public Transport Interchange, designed to accommodate buses, coaches, and other forms of transport, is set to open in Summer 2025.

In addition to the transport hub, the project will feature a multi-storey car park, a glazed bridge connecting the car parks to the terminal, enhanced waiting and rest areas, and an expanded drop-off and pick-up zone. These enhancements are part of Bristol Airport’s broader efforts to support its growing passenger numbers, with the facility aiming to serve up to 12 million passengers annually. The proposed convenience store will cater to both arriving and departing passengers, offering a range of items such as sandwiches, snacks, beverages, confectionery, groceries, and other takeaway food products.

Bristol Airport is looking to partner with a provider capable of delivering high-quality service to meet the diverse needs of its travelers. This is an excellent opportunity for interested businesses to become part of Bristol Airport’s ambitious expansion and play a role in enhancing the passenger experience.
