MCDONALD’S Malaysia recently reached out to 400 welfare homes through one of its community initiatives, the McDonald’s Community Month Programme, which kicked off on Sept 24. Established in 2017, the programme is dedicated to celebrating underprivileged children with a special and meaningful birthday experience, creating memorable moments they will cherish. The programme will be carried out by all McDonald’s Malaysia restaurants, which operate over 370 outlets across the country.
“The McDonald’s Community Month Programme is a core programme within McDonald’s Malaysia’s community initiatives as it reflects our unwavering commitment to Malaysians in need, such as these underprivileged children,” said McDonald’s Malaysia managing director and local operating partner Datuk Azmir Jaafar. “The support we provide not only touches their hearts by bringing joy but also supports their welfare and well-being through donations we distribute during our visits to the welfare homes. “As a locally-owned company, we are dedicated to making a positive impact by addressing the welfare and well-being of the community.
“We aim to be a caring neighbour to Malaysians in the areas where we operate, as our restaurants are always closely integrated with local neighbourhoods and communities.” This initiative, carried out under the banner of “Program Komuniti @ McDonald’s & RMHC”, encompasses the company’s community initiatives for all levels of society. Every year, McD.
