Thursday, October 3, 2024 U.S. carrier Breeze Airways is expanding its winter service by adding four new routes to popular Florida leisure destinations, continuing its strategy of offering routes that are underserved by other airlines.
Three of the new routes will serve Orlando International Airport (MCO), while one will serve Tampa International Airport (TPA). Starting December 21, Breeze will introduce service from Orlando to Provo, Utah, with flights operating three times weekly year-round. Beginning February 6, the airline will offer a twice-weekly year-round service between Orlando and Gulfport-Biloxi, Mississippi.
Then, from February 13, Breeze will launch flights between Orlando and Ogdensburg, New York, with this route operating twice weekly on a seasonal basis for the winter and spring months. Additionally, on September 27, Breeze launched a new U.S.
government-subsidized Essential Air Service (EAS) route to Ogdensburg from Washington Dulles International Airport, marking its entry into the D.C. market with daily service.
The fourth new Florida route will connect Tampa to Erie, Pennsylvania, with twice-weekly flights operating seasonally during the winter and spring. Currently, over 80% of Breeze’s routes face no direct competition. The airline operates more than 200 routes across over 60 U.
S. airports. The new Florida routes will be flown on Breeze’s Airbus A220-300 aircraft, which will make up the entirety of its fleet for scheduled services by 2024.
