BRAZILIAN singer José Mauro whose disappearance in 1970s sparked rumours he was abducted or killed in crash dies at 76. The record label that reissued his 1970 album Obnoxius, Far Out Recordings, confirmed his passing in an Instagram post. "The reality was more straightforward: he’d decided not to continue in his career as a recording artist due to a lack of commercial success.
