Breathing new life into past pieces Local fashion brand Hanya launched their Upcycle Capsule 3.0 collection, a collaboration with emerging designer Uzair Shoid, who recently opened Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2024 with his first solo show. The team at Hanya decided to breathe new life into their unsold inventory, teaming up with Uzair, who has also collaborated with H&M on their Denim Design Partnership, highlighting local talent and his denim design manipulations.

Marking the brand’s third upcycled collection, this capsule transforms 70 garments with low sell-through rates into reconstructed, reimagined pieces. Through this initiative, the brand aims to reduce waste, make conscious decisions and tell a story of transformation.
