According to Oricon, Japan's premier music chart, the album sold 134,000 copies after being released on Sept. 9, earning it the top spot on the chart. This is the second time the group has clinched the top spot on the chart following its second mini-album, "HOW?" in April.

"The first-week sales of '19.99' at 134,000 copies surpass the 77,000 copies of 'HOW?' making it the team's best performance to date. It also exceeded the cumulative sales of 'HOW?' in Japan within just the first week," Oricon said in a release.

The group's third mini-album has been setting career-high records in Korean music charts. It recorded 759,156 album sales on Hanteo Chart in the first week of its release, the highest and 43 percent higher than its previous record "HOW?" Debuting in May 2023, the six-member group — Jaehyun, Sungho, Riwoo, Taesan, Leehan, and Woonhak — has been gaining recognition as rising rookies. Produced by rapper Zico, the head of its agency KOZ Entertainment, BOYNEXTDOOR has been dropping hit songs like "But I Like You" (2023)" and "OUR.
