Dortmund cruised to a 3-0 win against Club Brugge on Wednesday night as last year's finalists made the perfect start to their Champions League campaign.

Couto, 22, came off the bench in the 87th minute, and his partner, Mariana David, wanted to show her support for him. She posted a screenshot that appeared to be from the game on her Instagram alongside the caption: 'Even from afar, I'm always keeping my fingers crossed for you.' Following the game, Couto reposted the screenshot and replied: 'I love you'.
