People hoping to shop online at Boots are being met with a message that tells them they have been placed in a virtual queue because the site is so busy with Black Friday shoppers. The official Boots Black Friday sale started earlier this month and has been dubbed the "biggest ever".

The retailer has slashed prices on more than 22,000 products, with some items discounted by up to 70%. Although Black Friday officially falls on November 29, the high-street giant released its early deals.
