Boots has announced MORE UK store closures amid a difficult time for the British high street. Four major locations in London are set to shut down, including 383 Upper Richmond Rd, Putney, London, SW15 5QJ and 8-10 Camden High Road, Mornington Crescent, London, NW1 0JH as well as 100 New Bridge St, London EC4V 6JJ. The 315-317 Green Lanes, Palmers Green, London, N13 4YB closure completes the list.

In a trading update last month, Boots said: "Evolving the store estate in this way allows Boots to concentrate its team members where they are needed and focus investment more acutely in individual stores with the ambition of consistently delivering an excellent and reliable service in a fresh and up-to-date environment." The beloved health and beauty chain has been facing ongoing closures for well over a year now as it tries to save a whopping £618 million. In June 2023, it announced a strategy to close 650 of its UK outlets.

Since then, 581 Boots stores have shut for the final time.
