St Catherine's CE Primary School in Horwich is getting a playground upgrade, courtesy of a generous donation from Morris Homes. The leading homebuilder has given £400 towards revamping the school's playground, fulfilling a much-needed wish for school children and parents alike. Morris Homes collaborated with the school's Parent Teacher Association (PTA) on this project.

The funds donated by the homebuilder have already made a significant impact, allowing the school to buy a 45-foot inflatable assault course and a ten-foot inflatable slide that the kids enjoyed in the Summer Fayre on July 5. The funds generated from the sale of the inflatables will go towards the playground upgrade and additional short-term support for activities such as the school Christmas parties. The donation will also help to maintain the reading corner of the playground that encourages children to enjoy books in an informal setting.

Rebecca Thaell, a member of the school's PTA, said: "The support of businesses working in our local area is invaluable and the Morris Homes donation will make a considerable impact on our fundraising total for the key stage one playground upgrades. "These are great for.
