A Bolton mum has gone ‘on strike’ from housework as part of a revived Channel 5 reality TV show. The series, called ‘Mums on Strike’, follows unequal households where one partner – usually the woman – takes on more of the domestic load than anyone else in the home. Originally known as ‘Wife on Strike’, the program has been rebooted for 2024 – with the first episode airing on Sunday, July 21.

In the program, Gaynor says she feels like she’s the ‘only one doing all the chores’ – leaving her husband Paul and twin boys Dylan and Devon, both aged 17, to their own devices.

They’ve reocgnised that and it’sm ade our relationship stronger.

“My husband has actually always helped out, but I wanted him to support me with the boys .
