A number of people from Bolton have recently been before the courts. Magistrates have dealt with a variety of offences including possession of an axe, assaults and possession of drugs. Here are the people who have been in court.
Luke Weaver attacked a woman in Bolton in May this year. Earlier the same month he damaged a window pane at a Bolton at Home property. He caused £100 worth of damage.
The 45-year-old admitted assault and criminal damage at Manchester Magistrates Court. Following this Weaver, from Cow Lees, Westhoughton , was placed on a community order to last for a year. He was ordered to an alcohol treatment programme for six months, attend at 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days and was fined £100.
Lee Atkinson was in possession of amphetamine in Bolton last month. The 35-year-old admitted the offence at Bolton Magistrates Court. Following this Atkinson, from Oxford Grove, Deane, was fined £120.
The court also ordered forfeiture and destruction of the amphetamine. Martin Hopkinson was in possession of an axe on Derby Street, Bolton, in March this year. The 37-year-old admitted the offence at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court.
