Okuneye Idris, better known on social media as Bobrisky, has allegedly been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had detained him. This came after a widely shared video on X revealed that he had been removed from a KLM flight headed for Amsterdam on Thursday night. The brother of the former governor of Ekiti State, social commentator Isaac Fayose, posted a picture of himself and Bobrisky on the same flight to London on Thursday.
“Look who’s on the same flight with me to London, @Bobrisky222,” Fayose shared on his Instagram handle. The well-known crossdresser informed his fans of the situation on his Instagram profile after being forcibly removed. Bobrisky said that the arrest was due to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
He wrote, “Nigerians help me, EFCC just arrested me. I’m badly injured.” The latest development comes after he was intercepted at the Sème border while allegedly attempting to flee the country on 22 October.
