BLUR frontman Damon Albarn predicted an Oasis reunion a year before it was announced and even "put money on it." The 56-year-old musician told The Sun last summer that he was certain the iconic band would reunite. His prediction came today when Oasis brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher revealed plans for a grand comeback.

Although Oasis and Blur were Britpop rivals in the ’90s, Noel has grown close to Damon . Damon told The Sun last May: “I can guarantee they’re going to reform. In fact, I’ve put money on it.

They’re brothers and it would be wonderful to see them reconcile.” Noel and Liam haven’t shared a stage together since a dramatic fallout in 2009, which resulted in a backstage fight in Paris and the break-up of the band. More on Damon Albarn Oasis have now secretly agreed a deal to return for a series of UK concerts next summer.

It is expected to be the most in-demand tour in British concert history. A music industry insider said : “Oasis’s comeback tour is going to be absolutely massive and next summer they’re going to be taking over the country. “They will announce four shows at Wembley Stadium today, along with a load more dates across the whole of the UK — including in Manchester, which will be incredibly poignant for them.
