Pune: Rajya Sabha member and chief of Congress's minority cell Imran Pratapgarhi on Wednesday criticised BJP for raising Article 370 issue in Maharashtra assembly poll campaign instead of speaking about issues concerning the state. He said that BJP has no development work to show in Maharashtra, hence it was talking about Article 370. Prime minister Narendra Modi had raised the issue of Article 370 during his visit to the city on Tuesday.

Pratapgarhi was in Pune to hold public rallies for MVA candidates in Hadapsar and Pune Cantonment assembly constituencies. "Projects like Airbus and Foxconn have moved out of the state under the Mahayuti govt. Other projects are also being shifted to Gujarat and other states, which BJP cannot prevent.

Therefore, it is raising issues like Article 370 in Maharashtra assembly polls ," Pratapgarhi said. Replying to a question on BJP's "Batenge to Katenge" slogan, Congress's minority cell chief said, "BJP's own ally NCP has opposed the slogan, which says it all. A state like Maharashtra will not support such kinds of slogans," he said.

Pratapgarhi welcomed the Supreme Court's stand against the bulldozer action in some states. He said, "BJP-run states thought that they could turn a blind eye towards the Indian Constitution and use bulldozers as per their wish. However, the Supreme Court has shown a mirror to BJP and it has underlined the fact that the country runs on the Indian Constitution and not on bulldozer.

" Pratapgarhi expressed confidence t.
