A Birmingham man has been charged with multiple offences following raids in the city. Staffordshire Police officers raided a property last Thursday (August 8) and found drugs and a knuckle duster. Police officers also seized mobile phones and more than £3,000 in cash.

They arrested Mohammed Ali, 31, of Platt Brook Way. He has since been charged with dealing Class A drugs, possession of cannabis, having criminal property and possession of a dangerous weapon. The Staffordshire force confirmed the arrest was in connection with 'investigating supply in Staffordshire'.

Read next: Four people sprayed with substance at beauty spot as police make arrest In a statement, a spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: “A man has been charged with multiple drug offences after we found crack cocaine, cannabis, cash and a knuckle duster in Birmingham . “Mohammed Ali, 31, of Platt Brook Way in Birmingham, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and cocaine, possession of a controlled drug of class B (cannabis), possessing criminal property and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place. "It comes after we seized mobile phones and over £3,000 in cash following a search in Birmingham.

We also searched another address and found the drugs and a knuckle duster. "Ali has been remanded in custody until his next appearance at Stafford Crown Court on Friday 6 September.".
