A bike that was reportedly “causing issues” in Leigh has been seized by police. Officers from the East Leigh Neighbourhood Policing Team were targeting anti-social behaviour last week through the use of off-road bikes as part of Operation Hurricane. The operation was launched in July this year, which saw a coordinated response to tackle and reduce anti-social behaviour (ASB) on motorbikes, e-bikes and quadbikes.

The bike was allegedly “causing issues” in the Leigh South area, namely Alderley Lane and Butt Street. The vehicle was seized by officers and the rider was reported for summons for several alleged driving offences, police said.
