Madhuri Dixit has joined hands with Balan in 'who is Manjulika' mystery and that seems to form the premise of the thrid sequel of 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa'. Anees Bazmee has returned to the director's chair with 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' after a successful part two that broke several box office records in 2022 and gave Kartik Aaryan, the much-needed blockbuster for his career to go spiralling into new heights.While the template looks slightly more tilted towards slapstick comedy, here are five reasons that make the trailer of 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' look slightly different.Setting is KolkataKartik Aaryan returns as Ruhaan aka Rooh Baba. This time, Kartik Aaryan is as a conman and the setting of the film shifts to Kolkata. The OG Manjulika, played by Vidya Balan in the first film as well, is back speaking in Bengali in a haunted mansion with a Bengali-speaking Vijay Raaz. Perhaps, the setting of the mystery of Manjulika is back on home ground this time. However, the blotchy Bengali spoken by the characters is sure to create some memes on social media platforms.Rooh Baba, the conmanKartik Aaryan portrays a conman in the guise of someone who can see and talk to ghosts unlike the good-for-nothing brat who is finding his way in the world in 'Bhool Bhuliaya 2'. Rooh Baba finds love with another woman, played by Triptii Dimri, gets involved in her family, and once again, the secret of Manjulika is revealed.Interestingly, Manjulika always happens to come from the woman's family the hero is in love with. It would have been interesting to see a male spirit of Manjulika personified and a woman conman or ghost hunter liek Rooh Baba.Madhuri DixitMadhuri Dixit is a new cast addition that makes the Manjulika story more complex and layered. However, that is not very clearly established in a 3 minute 50 second trailer that looks patchy and is all over the place, and is unable to establish anything.While the Manjulika and Anjulika sisters presence in the sub-plot was a core premise with Tabu in dual role in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, in the sequel, the presence of Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan with the ‘Who is Manjulika’ question is shrouded in comedy with an inch of horror that does not look serious enough.Oh! Did we mention the classical dance medley featuring both Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit in the trailer?Triptii DimriAfter ‘Animal’, Tripti has been seen in multiple projects. This time, opposite Kartik Aaryan, Triptii plays his love interest. With a kind of fan following she has already generated post her ‘Animal’ stint, it will be a delight to watch how fans perceive her performance.Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 OTT releaseInterestingly, the makers of 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' have meta referenced Netflix in an interesting way in the trailer to announce that the horror-comedy will be released on the OTT giant when it streams digitally. In a small scene, we see Sanjay Mishra hit against a wall and ask "Ye Tudum kisne chala dia" to directly hint at the Anees Bazmee's OTT release.
