Dec. 11, 1938 - Sept. 5, 2024 RUPERT — Beverly Jane Bennett, an 85-year-old resident of Rupert, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024, at her daughter's home in Albion surrounded by her loving family.

Beverly was born on December 11, 1938. She entered the world on a cold winter night in Alliance, Ohio, bringing much joy and warmth to her loving parents, James Bell and Edith Turpin. At five months old her mom and dad moved to Vernal, Utah.

It was a short six months later that her father moved back to Ohio and joined the armed forces. Her mother stayed in Vernal where she later married Neldon Calder. They gave Beverly two younger sisters, Bonnie Jean and Neda Rae.

Her biological father married June Bell and they had two children, Diane Kay Bell and Kevin Scott Bell. During her early years, Beverly attended Central Grade School. She excelled in school and was usually the teacher's favorite! Growing up, Beverly always wanted to live on a ranch.

She would spend as much time as possible with her grandparents, Ruvina and Jess Caldwell on their ranch in Vernal. She was the apple of their eye and they raised her as if she was their own daughter. During her childhood, when times got tough she went to the ranch to be with them.

It was her safe and happy place. Eventually her parents moved to Salt Lake City for a better work opportunity. She attended Granite High School in Salt Lake, where she was a member of the Granite High Pep Club.

However, you can bet she returned to her grandpa.
