Berry Tramel: Does Mike Gundy still want to coach; Do OSU donors still want him to?

Mike Gundy issued a half-hearted apology Tuesday night over his goofy comments a day earlier. Oh, that’s not really fair. To half-hearted apologies.

Let’s call it a pulmonary valve apology. “I apologize to those who my comments during Monday’s media call offended,” Gundy said. “My intent was not to offend any of our fans who have supported us and this program through the years.

” Talk about a sorry “I’m sorry.” Eddie Haskell had more sincerity than Gundy’s apology. Gundy wanted to write that apology about like he wants to don the Pistol Pete head and dance at the next Posse Club mixer.

And speaking of Gundy desires, here’s the real question. Does Gundy still want to coach football? That’s what some boosters and donors are asking these days. Gundy’s unsolicited remarks about negative fans wreaked of someone not playing nice with others.
