Wednesday, August 14, 2024 Berlin Brandenburg Airport is currently hosting the “United Buddy Bears – THE MINIS” exhibition, showcasing 100 vibrant and joyful Buddy Bears for approximately two months. These colorful bears have taken up residence on the arrivals level in the public area of Terminal 1, offering a delightful sight for travelers and visitors. Each Buddy Bear in the exhibition embodies a message of freedom and international unity, representing a different country from around the world.

The bears are not just symbols of their respective nations but also of the people and cultures they represent, transcending political boundaries. Every bear, standing one meter tall, was meticulously crafted by an artist from the corresponding country. The bears are arranged across four distinct areas, standing “hand in hand” on small pedestals, visually expressing a shared vision of global peace and harmony.

Aletta von Massenbach, CEO of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH: “Berlin Brandenburg Airport is an ideal location for the peace-loving Buddy Bears. Thousands of travellers the world over meet here every day. Diversity and cosmopolitanism is the order of the day at BER.

We look forward to welcoming many visitors to the exhibition and wish our travellers lots of fun discovering the United Buddy Bears – THE MINIS.” Dr Klaus Herlitz, Managing Director of Buddy Bear Berlin: “It is a great pleasure for us to present the United Buddy Bears – THE MINIS at BER Airport.
