The Lalbagh Independence Day Flower Show, running from August 8 to 19, celebrates Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's legacy. Attracting over 10 lakh visitors, the event features competitions like Ikebana, fruit carving, and Bonsai displays, with extensive crowd management by the Horticulture Department.

Bengaluru: The much-anticipated Lalbagh Independence Day Flower Show which commenced on August 8, continues until August 19, celebrating the “Life & Times of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar” as this year’s central theme. With over 10 lakh visitors expected, especially on weekends, the Horticulture Department has made extensive arrangements to ensure smooth management of the crowds.

Various competitions like Ikebana, vegetable and fruit carving, Pushpa Bharati, and Bonsai displays are among the attractions organised to engage attendees. A remarkable Rs 2.5 crore has been allocated to transform the venue into a floral wonderland, with most flowers sourced locally from Lalbagh itself.

Additional varieties were brought in from Pune to further enhance the grandeur of the displays. Ticketing and show Timings Visitors can enjoy the flower show from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily. Ticket prices are set at Rs 80 for adults and Rs 30 for children on weekdays.
