The annual multicultural festival celebrating our cultural diversity, which attracted more than 60,000 people last year once, has been taking place over nine days, culminating with Mela Day at Botanic Gardens tomorrow from 12 noon to 6pm.

Gates open at 12 noon and the event formally gets underway at 12.30pm with the Opening Procession led by the Mayor of Belfast Cllr Micky Murray and Nisha Tandon, founder of Belfast Mela through the Park with drum beats, global dance and spectacular floats. At 12.
