Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Finance and Energy Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Friday gave instructions to officials to start “Nenu - Na Madhira” Clean and Green programme in Madhira constituency on November 14 to mark birth anniversary of first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru. Bhatti held a review meeting on Madhira municipality activities with officials concerned at his camp office in Madhira on Friday. District Collector Muzammil Khan attended the meeting.

The Municipal Commissioner explained to the Deputy Chief Minister about the sanitation programme, development works and other activities being taken up in Madhira municipality. Speaking on the occasion, Bhatti Vikramarka said that effective measures should be taken to improve sanitation in Madhira municipality limits and ‘ Nenu Naa Madhira’ clean and green programme should be taken up in partnership with people in a unique way to keep the municipality clean. He also instructed officials to take steps to start the programme on November 14, birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

Parks should be provided everywhere to make the town look green and works on internal road leading to the old dumping yard should be completed soon. Bhatti also said that proposals should be drawn for construction of a modern building to Madhira municipality. If building constructions crossed the municipal road limits, the Municipality Commissioner alone should take the responsibility, he said.
