One half of Ndinne, the recently evicted pair from the ongoing Big Brother Naija (No Lose Guard season), has said that contrary to insinuations in some quarters, she did not spoil the chances of her niece and partner in the house, Nneamaka. She said that on the other hand, she was the one who had the idea of participating in the show with her niece, who she is older than with nine years. Speaking in an interview with Saturday Beats during the week, she said, “There is a narrative on social media that Nne shouldn’t have picked me for this edition of Big Brother , that I spoilt her chances on the show.

However, what people don’t know is that I was actually the one who picked Nne. I had auditioned for the show different times over the years but never made it to the house. When I learnt that this edition was for pairs, I decided to pick Nne.

I don’t even see her as my niece, but as a younger sister. Nobody should say I stole her shine. She is a very shy and introverted person, who does not even like to be on the big screen.

That was why during our first few days in the house, she was withdrawn because she was still trying to understand the environment.” She added that though many people could not initially wrap their heads around the fact that they were aunt and niece, they started ‘softening their hearts’ towards them in the latter part of their stay in the competition.
